Jon is responsible for developing ZOS Communications’ presence in the growing mobile geospatial market and helping potential business partners understand the new location-based services landscape while building an impressive ZOS team.
Prior to founding ZOS Communications, Jon was a coach, strategist, and professional sailboat racer for the Oracle BMW team during their America’s Cup campaigns. Jon’s work on the water racing positioning and strategy along with sail and boat development led to a passionate interest in geospatial technology. ![]() Alan was formerly a co-founder of a successful start-up company that grew to 350-employees and achieved $1.5 billion in annual sales after just 5 years. His key role is to help guide ZOS through much of our emerging strategies.
![]() Russ was the founder of Accucom ISP which eventually sold to NetSetGo. He has a strong background in technology management, development, integration, and testing of large software products for General Electric and Phillips Broadband.
![]() Jeff was formerly the CFO of Prudential California Realty (PCR), a subsidiary of Berkshire-Hathaway. He was responsible for integrating accounting and finance operations and negotiating credit lines necessary for the company to expand significantly. In addition to supervising the accounting and finance operations for eleven companies in the real estate, mortgage, escrow and title industries, Jeff has served in executive roles within auto parts manufacturer/distribution and system integrator/software development companies.
![]() Karen was Vice President of Marketing of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, Inc. in North America, a position she held since May 2007. Karen has more than 18 years of management experience at Sony Ericsson and Ericsson, Inc., one half of the joint venture with Sony.
During her time in the industry, Karen has overseen many campaigns that received honors from trade and industry associations and served on the Board of Directors for the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) Wireless Foundation. Along with garnering two Summit Creative Awards, her initiatives have been honored by CTIA, The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and The Advertising Federation. ![]() Jonathan was a technology solutions consultant in sales and business development for a web technology company with $150 million annual revenue. He has an extensive background in sales and marketing with experience navigating federal technology guidelines.
![]() Dan wields decades of experience as senior sales management process executive overseeing sales and sales management processes for US operations for Xerox Corporation. Throughout his career, he has developed custom sales training programs for over 10,000 salespeople worldwide. Dan is also the ZOS (informal) athletic director.
![]() Tony brings over 16 years of sales and business development experience in the mobile communications industry, including 8 years at Ericsson/ Sony-Ericsson and 3 years at Telmap. He was responsible for developing customer relationships and sales channels to deliver mobile devices and consumer LBS solutions to North American Wireless carriers. Currently, Tony is utilizing this experience and extensive relationships to manager our carrier and ODM strategy.
![]() Ed brings more than 11 years of telecom and technology experience across operations, finance, and strategy. He was most recently responsible for wireless investments at Summerhill Venture Partners, a VC investing in the technology and wireless space.
Prior to Summerhill, he was Director of Strategic Planning at Clearwire, where he was responsible for corporate development, long term strategic planning, and developing operational strategies across corporate functional areas. Before Clearwire, Ed worked directly for the COO of Sprint Nextel's 4G WiMAX division, helping build the 4G business unit and operational strategy from inception. ![]() Chris was chief database architect for Xerox while spending 18 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He was responsible for the development of the Xerox sales and productivity tool which is currently used by more than 10,000 sales representatives in both browser and mobile environments.
![]() Bret Dangelmaier brings over 15 years of international experience delivering software to millions of users, including 5 years at Microsoft. He is fluent in Danish and has traveled the world assisting local markets launch products made in Europe and the US. He is also a combat veteran, having served 12 years in the US Air Force.
Heidi Ziskind, Creative Director![]() Heidi Ziskind is the Creative Director at ZOS Communications. Heidi graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in studio art. She then attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where she worked toward a graduate degree in graphic design. She worked in the marketing department of Sailing World and Cruising World Magazines where she coordinated regattas and events. Heidi has continuously done contract work for other design firms as well as freelanced on her own.
