The ZOS Mobile ClientThe ZOS Mobile Client allows the ZOS location server to communicate with registered and opted-in mobile devices. The client enables the server to track the device using automated tracking and polling routines, to send configuration data and commands and to deliver messages and a wide range of content, including photos, document attachments, hyperlinks and navigation points. The client allows mobile devices to trigger automated actions (e.g., message or content delivery) when they are selected as part of a location based Event. Events are pre-built routines on the server side that set the parameters for a location-based action. They define what happens when one of ZOS’ geospatial triggers fires, based upon a device’s location, its proximity to geographical points of interest or other devices, or speed. The ZOS Mobile Client can be deployed through an on-demand or manual over-the-air (OTA) download accessible by an HTML link contained in a text message or email, or by pointing the device’s browser to a website where the software is available. The client software is available as zhiing, targeted for use by consumers, or as the ZOS Discrete Agent (ZDA) for enterprise users and developers. |
